If you do anything throughout the year that
involves supporting, organising or coaching children
in any capacity you
must have one of these checks completed.
This includes parents who
help out with officiating, refreshments etc in the Summer, for example.
This is a very straight-forward process and UK athletics have produced the

sheets which explain how to obtain CRB
registration.

Please note that CRB registrations are only valid
for three years and there is no automatic
renewal. If you are already
registered you will need to note the date of registration and
re-apply
before the registration lapses.
